Short version
- We collect only what you give us — your email if you subscribe, your story if you contribute.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
- Contributors can ask for their piece to be edited, anonymised, or taken down — even after publication.
1. What we collect
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address. We use it only to send the quarterly Lahpet Voices newsletter, and you can unsubscribe in one click from any email.
Contact form
When you pitch a story, we receive the name, email, story type, and message you provide. We keep these so we can respond and follow up; we never share them.
Contributors
For published stories, we keep your name (or pseudonym, at your choice), your story text, and any consent records. Identifying details can be removed at your request.
Analytics
This site runs without third-party analytics by default. If we add analytics in future, it will be privacy-friendly (e.g. Plausible or Fathom, no personal data, no cookies) and we will update this page.
2. Cookies
This site does not set any tracking cookies. The only local storage we use is a per-device preference for dark/light theme and a local backup of your newsletter signup — both stay in your browser.
3. Hosting & data location
The site is served from a global CDN. Newsletter data is stored with our email provider; we use providers based in jurisdictions with strong data-protection laws (EU, US, or Singapore).
4. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to: see what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. Email hello@lahpetvoices.example and we will respond within 30 days.
5. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will post a notice on the home page and update the date above.
